Teaching Objectives:
Physics experiment is the beginning in training the technique and method of experiments after students entering university. In laboratory, the students can get firsthand knowledge of physical principles and experimental methods through the handling of apparatus designed to demonstrate the meaning and application of these principles. Specific objectives include:
1. To acquire training in scientific methods of observation and recording of data;
2. To acquire techniques in the handling and adjustment of equipment;
3. To obtain experience in the use of graphic representation and others data processing methods.
Course Requirements:
1. To study the elementary knowledge and fundamental principles of physics experiment; to learn about the performances of the instruments and equipments; to grasp the measurement technique and the methods of experiments;
2. To develop the ability to undertake scientific experiments, including: a)be well prepared concerning the principles of the experiment; b) measure carefully and patiently, record and process the experimental data correctly, plot curves based on the data,evaluate the result and write a qualified report;
3. To develop the scientific attitude, honesty, preciseness during the course study.
