Objectives and Requirements
This course aims to provide an introduction to the technology underlying electronic commerce systems and services.
After learning the course, the students should be able to:
1. use the relevant internet technology in eCommerce and explain their implications;
2. use the relevant wireless and mobile technology in eCommerce and explain their implications;
3. describe and use the security and transaction properties of eCommerce systems and their solutions;
4. use basic electronic data interchange (EDI) technology, including the related XML-based EDI technology;
5. describe and use some of the privacy, regulatory, and legal issues of eCommerce;
6. explain the models and strategies for eCommerce systems, such as the e-logistics applications;
7. use the fundamental technologies for implementing eCommerce based systems, such as the e-logistics applications.
