国际学院与中国广州仲裁委员会开启共建留学生实践教学基地的篇章

2017年12月4日下午，国际学院与中国广州仲裁委员会就合作建设校外留学生实践教学基地进行了交流与洽谈，双方正式签署了长期合作协议，为培养来华留学生人才、促进双方共同发展提供合作平台。

On Monday, 4th of December 2017, a delegation from the International School of Jinan University visited Guangzhou Arbitration Commission (GZAC). The delegation, led by Party Secretary of the International School, Professor Deng Yongzhong, included the China Studies Master's Program students, along with ProfessorLi Jing, ProfessorGuo Pengand Ms. Sun Qiyun, the coordinator of program.

当天下午，邓永忠书记、李静教授、郭鹏教授、孙绮芸老师以及18名国际学院“中国学”硕士专业留学生一行来到中国广州仲裁委员会，中国广州仲裁委员会李非淆主任、王天喜副主任、李珊秘书长，叶峰副主任等相关领导对国际学院一行表示热烈欢迎。双方首先召开交流合作座谈会，邓永忠书记就国际学院的办学特色及“中国学”专业做了详细介绍，并表示希望通过共建校外实践教学基地，帮助留学生在实践中受教育，为培养来华留学生优秀人才搭建平台。中国广州仲裁委员会相关领导对委员会的机构职能设置和工作开展情况进行了详细的介绍，并就国际学院留学生提出的问题进行了详细解答。

GZAC leaders extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission. Professor Deng, in turn, introduced the China Studies Master's Program of the International School to the GZAC representatives. After the introductions, the delegation was given the opportunity to learn more about the process of arbitration, the different functions and departments of GZAC and the modern online arbitration process, in way of two PowerPoint presentations, presented by GZAC secretaries.After the informative presentations, the China Studies students were able to ask questions regarding arbitration and Guangzhou Arbitration Commission. GZAC representatives answered the students' questions, giving them deeper insight on the process of arbitration.

交流座谈会后，暨南大学国际学院与中国广州仲裁委员正式签署了《共建留学生实践教学基地协议书》，明确了双方合作原则和合作方式，本着“发展、服务、共赢”的原则，共同开启了搭建留学生实践教学基地的篇章。双方表示以此次合作为契机，今后加大加深多领域的合作。

Then it was time for a signing ceremony of a cooperative agreement between JNU International School and GZAC. Professor Deng and Mr. Li Feixiao, head of GZAC, signed the agreement, with the JNU delegation and GZAC representatives witnessing the occasion. Both sides said they will work together to boost and strengthen the cooperation in more fields.

暨南大学的“中国学”（China Studies）硕士学位专业是在中国“国学”、海外“汉学”以及“中国研究”等学科基础上所建立的一门新型的综合性交叉学科，涉及中国政治与外交、中国经济、中国法律与社会、中国语言与文化、中国历史5个学科。本专业旨在让外国人了解当代中国的政治、经济、法律、社会、文化与历史等，培养具有深厚中国文化素养、熟悉当代中国国情的国际化专门人才。自2014年开办“中国学”硕士专业以来，迄今已招收30多名来自20多个国家和地区的留学生。

Master’s Degree of China Studies program, based upon Chinese traditional Classics, overseas Sinology and studies of China, is an interdisciplinary program with a curriculum covering a wide scope of knowledge of China with focus on contemporary China issues in language, history, literature, politics, legal institutions, and socio-economic development. The target students are non-Chinese nationals. The program aims to cultivate qualified China specialists or business/international affairs professionals with profound knowledge of Chinese culture and China’s domestic conditions.Initiated in 2014, the program has seen over 30 international students from more than 20 regions and countries
