Program Overview

Master program of China Studies , based upon Chinese traditional Classics, overseas Sinology and studies of China, is an interdisciplinary program taught in English. This program offers a curriculum covering a wide scope of knowledge of China with focus on contemporary China issues in language, history, literature, politics, legal institutions, and socio-economic development. The target students are non-Chinese nationals. The program aims to cultivate qualified China specialists or business/international professionals with a profound knowledgeof the fundamental realities of China.

项目简介

暨南大学的“中国学”（China Studies）是在中国“国学”、海外“汉学”以及“中国研究”等学科基础上所建立的一门新型综合性交叉学科的硕士专业，涉及中国政治与外交、中国经济、中国法律与社会、中国语言与文化、中国历史5个学科。本专业旨在让外国人了解当代中国的政治、经济、法律、社会、文化与历史等，培养具有深厚中国文化素养、熟悉当代中国国情的国际化专门人才。

Eligibility of Applicants

Non-Chinese nationals with a valid passport

Bachelor’s degree or above

TOEFL/IBT 550/90, IELTS 6.5 or above required for non-native English speaker or those who have not had a substantial part of their education taught in the English language.

持有效护照的非中国籍公民

学士及以上学历

英语为非母语国家的申请者需托福成绩达550分，或新托福成绩达90分，或雅思成绩6.0及以上。

Scholarship

Chinese Government Scholarship

In order to promote the mutual understanding, cooperation and exchanges in politics, economy, culture, education, and trade between China and other countries, the Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to study and research in Chinese universities.

Applicants can apply for the ‘Chinese Government Scholarship” including tuition, accommodation fees, insurance fees and a monthly living allowance.

Excellent Student Scholarship

Self-sponsored students (those who are not supported by Chinese Government Scholarship) can apply for the university’s “International Graduate Student Scholarship”

奖学金

为促进中国与其他国家之间的相互了解，加强与其他国家在政治、经济、文化、教育和贸易等方面的合作，中国政府设立多项奖学金项目资助国际学生、教师及学者来华学习和开展研究。

申请者可申请中国政府奖学金，该项奖学金覆盖学费、住宿费和医疗保险费用，每月发放生活补贴。

优秀学生奖学金

自费学生（指未获得中国政府奖学金资助的学生）可申请暨南大学来华留学生奖学金。
