To enhance international students' understanding of traditional Chinese culture and inspire their passion for exploring Chinese tea culture, the International School hosted a themed lecture titled Chinese Tea: Science and Culture. The event invited Professor Tang Shuze, Dean of the International School at Guangzhou Huali College, as the key speaker. Nearly 30 international students from over 10 countries, including New Zealand, Italy, Russia, Nigeria, Botswana, and Iran, along with faculty and student representatives from Guangzhou Huali College, participated in the lecture. The event was chaired by Song Jingsong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the International School.
A wisp of tea fragrance carries millennia of civilization. Through the innovative format of intercollegiate exchange + cultural lecture, this activity not only deepened international students' knowledge of Chinese tea culture but also built a bridge for cross-cultural academic exchange, adding a vibrant chapter to the Experience China series. In the future, International Schol will continue to explore diverse approaches to cultural dissemination, helping international students gain a deeper understanding of the real, multifaceted, and comprehensive China.
