Calculus I is an important and basis compulsory theoretical course for student majored in economics and management.
This is a complete course in first-semester calculus. Topics include the meaning, use, and interpretation of the derivative; techniques of differentiation; applications to curve sketching and optimization in a variety of disciplines; and derivatives of exponential and logarithmic functions.
A primary objective of a course in calculus is to provide a bridge for the student from high-school or lower-division mathematics courses to upper-division mathematics. The student will be challenged to grow in mathematical maturity, and to develop and strengthen problem-solving skills.
Through study of this course, students are asked to study the following points: 1.Systematic obtain to the basic knowledge of Calculus, really control the content of the basic concepts, basic theories and methods; 2. With more skilled and initial operation capability of solving practical problems; 3. Cultivate abstract thinking ability and logical reasoning ability, thus lay a good foundation to learn subsequent courses.
