Probability Theory is an important and basis compulsory theoretical course for student majored in economics and management. Through study of this course, students are asked to study the following points: Systematic obtain to the basic knowledge of probability and statistics such as; grasp the content of the basic concepts, basic theories and methods; cultivate abstract thinking ability and logical reasoning ability, understand applications in economics and management, thus lay a good foundation to learn subsequent courses.

The main contents are events and probability, random variable and probability distribution, expected value, markov chains.
