Teaching objecives: to master the general methods and process to study bioactive compound contained in natural medicinal meterials

Teaching Requirements:

(1)    To master basic concepts and methods of extracting, isolating, identifying active compounds from natural medicine;

(2)    To master the definition and properties of various natural products

(3)    To master how to elucidate structures of natural products by using spectroscopic methods, such as UV, IR, MS and NMR.

Teaching Contents:

(1) The definition, research scope and other basic concepts of Natural Medicinal Chemistry.

(2) Some important pathways of biosynthesis.

(3) The knowledge and methods of extracting, isolating, identifying active compounds from natural medicines.

(4) The methods and process of some general compound structures research.
