On the night of March 10th, the volunteer team from International School and students from 2013 FNC came to the Guangzhou Tianhe Recovery School and participated in the opening ceremony. Their fantastic performance was popular with the children and started the new journey of volunteering.At about 6 o’clock in the evening, everyone arrived at the School on time.

Although it was less than 10 degrees outside, the students were still excited about the volunteering activity. Before they entered the School, they learnt some basic knowledge about the school and received an interesting task from the teacher there-----to present a funny drama in the opening ceremony.

Then, the 12 students began to prepare for the performance and the gifts for the disabled children were also prepared. One hour later, the ceremony began with a beautiful song and followed by a dance. The drama was the last program but it received cheers the moment the actors went to the stage. During the whole process, the 12 temporary actors performed a well-known drama-----Snow White and Seven Dwarfs with passion and attention, trying to share the happiness with the disabled children there.

At last, the performance ended with the thundering applause and continuous cheering. Before leaving, the students from 2013 FNC communicated with each other about their thoughts and feelings for the volunteering activity and expressed their eagerness to come here the next time. The activity came to an end, however, the new journey just began…
