MBBS tournament was organized on the Jinan University football grounds between the 1^st and 2^nd of October 2015 during China’s National Holiday break. It was the perfect opportunity and conditions to host this event.

The tournament was played in a round-robin format between three teams formulated by the students of the three MBBS batches, namely 2011 batch, 2013 batch and the new 2014 batch. This tournament was supported by The Guangzhou Tamil Community (GTC). The tournament had a huge spectator turn out on the grounds. Students and working professionals enjoyed a good feisty outing under the bright sun resulting in a good substitute for their lazy holidays. The supporting roar of the crowd made the atmosphere even livelier than it already was. The authenticity of this tournament was cemented strongly by the fantastic organization by the students, providing refreshments for the players, a large microphone for entertainment purposes and match officials. All-in-all it was a good outing for the students and elders alike.

The 1^st match was played between batches 2011, in their blue-black jerseys and 2014, in their shining combination of black and green. The first match itself proved to be a thriller resulting in 2011 emerging champions by a narrow margin. The outstanding player or as they normally call it, The Man of the Match was a resultant tie between two players of respective teams, Haji Asif of the 2011 batch and Naraine of 2014 batch. The tie was a result of their equally outstanding performances on the field.

The 2^nd match was held between the 2013 and 2014 batches on the very same day after a gap of few hours. 2014 played in the same black and green combination and 2013 sported a classic black and grey. This match too went down to the wire. 2014 ran parallel in prowess to 2013 but in the end their luck ran out, handing 2013 the resulting victory. This win pitted 2013 against 2011 in the final showdown. Ashwin of 2014 batch was adjudged the Man of the Match. He showcased outstanding performances with both, the bat and the ball, ascending his position in the all-rounder department.

While these two matches were nail-biters, the real thriller came in the final match played between 2011 and 2013 batches. In the previous instance when these two were pitted against each other, 2011 emerged victorious. But was history to repeat itself, that was only for time to tell.

The match was played the next day with both teams, receiving ample time to rest and devise a game-winning strategy. The game started with the sun shining bright and the crowd bursting their throats out with cheers of encouragement for their respective teams. It had everything, crowd cheers, game tension, anxiety and most of all, fun. After a grueling 3 hour encounter under the scorching heat, the result stood forth. History repeated itself indeed and that too in such a picturesque manner. 2011 Batch emerged champions of the tournament defeating 2013 in a sublime fashion. Satya Prakash Singh of 2011 batch was adjudged the Man of the Match, and Haji Asif winning the man of the tournament trophy.

The tournament turned out to be a lively event, receiving ample support from the GCT and also the MBBS student advisor Mr. Andy He (He Dong Feng). This tournament presented the students studying here in China with a feeling of home away from home setting forth a tone for such future tournaments to be played.
