In the dusk of September 15, 2015, the International School League Committee and the Student Union held a welcome party for freshmen in the South Campus Library.

The party began with a game called “0.5 and 1 Yuan”. Freshmen made teams to meet the quantity requirement of “3 yuan” or “5 yuan” given by the MC. People who were left out of a team had to accept a forfeit on stage. After this game, a performance of hip-hop and a vocal band brought the party to a climax.

 Freshmen were then divided into 10 groups according to the number on their ticket. The first group wererequired to pass a tennis ball from shoulder to shoulder. It was funny because students made strange posturesto keep the ball on their shoulder. During an intermission, the team leaders performed a catwalk.  

 Team leaders next drew lots to decide which part of the body group members should use to burst a balloon. On the blowing of a whistle, students rushed to a terminal in pairs to burst a balloon. The last team even receivedencouragement from everyone. A girl chosen from the winning team was made up by a French make-up artistprovided by our sponsor.

The performance by the band Remember attracted everyone’s attention, and passed on the fascination of college associations to freshmen. Finally, the last game --- ”Be Your Backup” -- began. Group members had topass required items of clothing to a team member at the terminal and dress them up in clothes of the opposite sex in preparation for a catwalk.

Once the games had finished, we gave gifts to the students and danced with them. Lastly, we took group photos and said goodbye to them.

Thanks to the freshmen for their attendance and encouragement at the Welcome Party. We hope that it will be a wonderful memory for everyone.
