International Students Gave Application Presentations to Compete for Provincia…
The International School organized a student presentation session in application for Guangdong Province Outstanding International Students Scholarship 2015 on Sept 4. 15 faculty and staff from International School, Student Affairs Department and International Office of the university were invited to be judges.
168 international student applicants from more than 20 countries were shortlisted for this session. Each applicant was allowed 5 minutes to give their presentations, and answer questions from the judges.
The scholarship set up by Guangdong Provincial Government since 2013 is to encourage student academic excellence, social responsibility as well as their emotional intelligence. While it is part of a fair and transparent appraisal process, the open presentations play an important part in setting role models.
This is the third year in a row that the International School has held such an event in scholarship evaluation.
