2014 China Studies Master Program Reception
On the evening of September 23rd, the brand new IS postgraduate program China Studies held an opening ceremony and reception in the school lounge to welcome its first batch of 10 international students from Kazakhstan, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan and the U.S.
The ceremony began with a tea reception. Prof. Deng Yongzhong, Party Secretary of the International School hosted the reception. Prof. Tang Shuze, Dean of the international School welcomed the students on behalf of the school, and delivered an introduction about the school. Prof. Zhang Zhenjiang, Associate Director of the program and Vice Dean of School of International Studies, gave a program briefing. Prof. Tang and Prof. Zhang urged the new students to make good use of their time at Jinan and in China, and to become qualified China specialists with profound knowledge of comtemporary China after their two years study.
Prof. Yu Huifen, Director of the International Affairs Office, Ms. Li Qiong, Deputy Director of the International Affairs Office, Prof. Pu Ruoqian, Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Studies, and all faculty members attended the reception.
