ISLCSU Semester Review

On Dec.16th, the review meeting of the International School League Committee and Student Union was held in Room 112 in the New Teaching Building. All departments participated along with some special guests.
The meeting began at about 2.10pm. In the beginning, everyone present stood up as the school anthem played. After that, our distinguished guests were warmly welcomed and they delivered speeches. The first speaker was Mr. He, the teacher from the Student Affairs Office in the International School. He emphasized that the only reason for all the members to join this big family should be to serve. Mr He’s delivery was so passionate and enthusiastic that it cheered and inspired all the participants. Then, representatives of the Student Congress and the presidium of ISLCSU made speeches. They all showed their appreciation for the excellent achievements of every department and gave them encouragement.
The second, as well as the most important part, was the video show presented by every department, vividly exhibiting what they had achieved this semester for the International School League Committee and Student Union. Before the video show, every department head on behalf of their own departments summarized this semester’s work as well as expressing their love and care for the department members. There was an air of warmth surrounding the room. Furthermore, every video appeared to be so imaginative, creative and funny, which brought laughter and cheers. Whether original or adapted from fairy tales such as Snow White, they were undoubtedly the result of every member’s joint efforts.
Then it was time for the presidium of the ISLCSU to give performances. President Jerry played the guitar, and sang a relaxing song named I’m yours. Obviously, everyone enjoyed it a lot and applauded enthusiastically, bringing the meeting to another climax.
At the close of the ceremony, new freshmen members of the ISLCSU came onto the stage to share their thoughts about their departments. In common with each other was their feeling of home here at IS. Filled with enough confidence and competence, they will surely able to improve their performance in future.
At around 5:30p.m, the review meeting of this semester ended in harmony and happiness. We are looking forward to the next semester!
