Human Parasitology is a foundation medical course designed to give students the knowledge of human parasitology and skills necessary to perform parasitic examinations in the clinical laboratory. Beginning with medical terms and general introduction about parasitology, the course is a fast-paced excursion through the world of protozoan, helminth, and ectoparasitic arthropod of humans. While morphology, life cycles, pathogenesis, diagnosis, epidemiology, prevention, treatment and control are studied, emphasis is placed upon the life cycles, pathogenesis and laboratory diagnosis.

Goal and requirement：The knowledge of medical parasite and parasitic disease, important vectors and vector borne disease should be acquired after studying this course.
