A lecture about current trends and future challenges of food and waterborne viruses was given by Dr. Gloria Sánchez from Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology, IATA-CSIC Spain on Dec. 4 in Room 316 of the Second Social Sciences Building. The lecture was chaired by Prof. Yu Pei, the executive vice dean of International School. Dr. Nima Azarakhsh, the foreign teacher of major Food Quality and Safety in International School and the students of major Food Quality and Safety in International School attended the lecture.

Dr. Sánchez is a research scientist at IATI-CSIC and currently member of the Committee (Enteric Viruses in Food) of the EU. She works in the microbiology food safety area, dealing with method development and assessment of food manufacturing. She is visiting JNU for one week, invited by International School.
