Master of Engineering in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences (Two-year English-medium Master Program)

Program Overview

Master’s program in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences (MBPS) at Jinan University is an interdisciplinary program created for Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, overseas Chinese and foreign students. Encompassing a wide range of inter-related disciplines of biology, medicine and engineering, this program aims to train application-oriented talents by equipping students with multidisciplinary skills and knowledge needed for work in research, development and management in the industries related to biology and medicine. It also provides students with unique opportunities to explore Chinese history and culture, helping students to establish a global vision and professional responsibilities.

Eligibility of Applicants

• Residents of Hongkong, Macao, and Taiwan

• Overseas Chinese

• Foreign nationals with a valid passport

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Pharmacy or Medicine

• TOEFL/IBT 550/90, IELTS overall 6.0 or above for applicants with limited proficiency in English language or non-native English-speaking nationalities

• Priority will be given to International applicants who have a foundation of Chinese

To promote mutual understanding, cooperation exchanges in politics, economy, culture, education, and trade between China and other countries, the Chinese government has generously invested in scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers, and scholars in education and research pursuits in Chinese universities. Applicants can apply for the “Chinese Government Scholarship” (Including tuition and accommodation fees, insurance fees and a monthly living allowance).

✔Excellent Student Scholarship

Self-sponsored students (those who are not supported by the Chinese Government Scholarship) are eligible to apply for the university’s “International Graduate Student Scholarship”.
