1.Teaching objectives and requirements 

Students are required to master the basic theories, knowledge and skills of Obstetrics and Gynecology (O&G), to grasp the diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatments of the popular O&G diseases, and to be acquainted with the relevant knowledge of family planning. Their comprehensive ability of problem -discovering, -thinking, -analyzing, and-solving as well as their creativity should be focused to make sure they are capable of logically clinical thinking.

These basic skills mentioned above are requisite for all students to be a qualified O&G specialist。

2. Teaching contents

Composed of obstetrics, gynecology, and family planning, O&G is the clinical discipline specified in physiological and pathological processes of the female reproductive system. Its main contents include gestational physiology, diagnosis of pregnancy, antenatal health care, normal puerperium, inflammation and injuries of female reproductive organs, family planning and some difficult parts such as normal delivery, abnormal delivery, gestational complications, female reproductive oncology and female endocrinal disorders.
