A New Partner University in Uruguay South America Established
During a recent business trip to South American countries Venezuela, Bolivia and Uruguay for the promotion of student admission and recruitment from February 5 to 14, Professor Shuze Tang, IS Dean, paid an official visit to Universidad ORT Uruguay (ORT) in its capital city Montevideo.
Professor Julio Fernández, Vice President in charge of International Affairs, hosted a welcome meeting for the Jinan delegation. Professor Tang was invited to give a short seminar on the unique features of JNU. Both sides are willing to cooperate on student and staff exchange, scientific research and new program development.
Based on the meeting, ORT would like to accept 3 exchange students of business and engineering each year from the International School, JNU with tuition exemption effective from fall 2015. Candidates interested in Spanish language will enjoy more advantages.
ORT, ranked 2nd of the 6 Uruguay universities, is a private American-style university with a student population of 11,000. It is especially strong in the academic fields of business, engineering and architectural arts.
