As one of the four ancient civilizations, China’s culture has last and developed for over 5000 years, showing its great value and fascinating characteristics. And the Chinese Culture Festival in Jinan University, has also been held for 7 years. This is just not only the time for us to show and promote the Chinese traditional culture, but also a stage to give a Chinese culture lesson to the overseas Chinese students. This year, the theme of the festival was “quintessence”, carrying forward the essence of traditional culture, and matching Guangzhou’s and Hong Kong’s Youth Cultural Festival which had a theme of “the same root, the same origin, and the same dream".
When the flavor of tea releases out, you just have to relax your heart and body, and naturally the taste of tea will be captured by your mind. This was exhibited by the International School who showed us the long history of Chinese tea culture during this festival. The theme was "thousand kinds of tea make ten thousand differences". Into the Jian yang stadium, in a variety of stalls, it was very easy to find a unique display card full of ancient elements: “thousands kinds of tea make ten thousand differences”. Our experiences was enriched in content, by taste of various teas, video watching, and introduction to varieties of tea and so on. The students who came to the festival gained experience by the process of washing tea leaves, boiling teas etc. In addition, the stall also has a long beak teapot, students had the opportunity to personally drink from the beak teapot tea. In short, in a variety of activities, students can not only learn the long history of tea culture, but feel different kinds through activities and fun.
Then we walked in the JinglingPlaza, the stall of the InternationalSchool remained unique. The stall had already gathered a lot of former students who wanted to appreciate the charm of tea culture. In this place, there were the staff who were enthusiastically introduced to traditional tea process, brewing methods, tasting the tea, as well as the popularity of tea aspects of health knowledge: for example, which four periods of a day that we should not drink tea. In addition, there were exquisite tea and tea colored displays, so that students experienced different tea aromas by smelling their respective specialties to savor. By visiting the two stalls, we really can learn a lot of knowledge about tea planting and brewing.
The flavor spill slowly from the purple tea pot, but once we taste the tea, hundreds of tastes flow from our mouth to heart; the freshness and nature of it drove all crazy, crazy enough to get away from all the sorrow twinned within our heart.
