Social medical practice is a practical course designed for undergraduate students of the fifth grade majoring in clinical medicine. The students are re quired to have systematically learned  the courses of pre-clinical medicine and clinical medicine, and will be currently enrolled in the curricula of medical statistics and epidemiology and hygienics.  This course has no lectures. The students will be divided into five groups. Each group will be guided by an appointed faculty member. The students were required to cooperate to complete an investigation research. The specific work will include  topic selection, literature retrieval, questionnaire design, data collection, data analysis, paper  writing, and presentation, etc. This process will promote the students' understanding of statistical and epidemiological knowledge and foster their interest in medical research as well as the ability to communicate with others. There are five faculty members will be involved in this course. We are engaged in the research work in the fields of public health, epidemiology, health policy and  nutrition respectively. We are confidence to be able to give students a professional guidance  and benefit their future medical practice.
