On December 9th, a short trip to Xiaozhou village was organized by the Organizational Affairs Department of Student Union of International School, Jinan University. All of the participants felt excited and happy about this trip on the sunny day.

At about 8.00am, the participants who were students ranging from grade 1 to grade 3, met at the west gate of Jinan University. They had much to share with each other on the way to the destination, and it seemed like they had known each other for a long time. They were divided into three groups and every group member followed their leaders who were members of the Organizational Affairs Department.

It took us around two hours to get to Xiaozhou village. Although the distance was a little bit long, we enjoyed the scenery along the way and did not feel bored.

We arrived at about 10:00am, and many stores in this village were closed as it was still early. According to the rules of this activity, the participants were asked to search for some strange places on a paper. As they searched, they played some interesting games.

In the very beginning, the participants found an old house and there was a task waiting for them. They tied paper cups onto each team member and had to pass a ping pong ball from one person to the next without using hands. After much effort and many laughs, they finished the task and felt the power of teamwork.

Then, they reached a stone bridge and each group was required to pass one balloon to another group on the bridge. Each group crossed the bridge four times in all, and all team members had the feeling that they could do well as long as they cooperated with their teammates. While taking part in these activities, everyone was inspired by the natural views of Xiaozhou village.

At noon, the participants had some delicious refreshments together and shared some interesting things. After lunch, they enjoyed some free time and some purchased souvenirs. Participants also had a good opportunity to view some features of Chinese history in 1960s.  .

Time flew by quickly, and at around 4pm, the visit came to an end and the group took several photos in honor of this special day.

This kind of activity brought a lot of happiness, relaxation and good memories for the students. It was very meaningful and everyone enjoyed themselves during the activity.
