Objectives:
By study of the course, get students to master the concepts, etiology, pathogenesis, pathology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, laboratory findings and associated investigations, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, prevention and treatment of internal common diseases.

Contents:
Internal medicine is a basic subject for studying all clinical science. It covers almost every organ disorders in the body including cardiology, respiratory medicine, gastroenterology, nephrology, endocrinology, hematology, rheumatology, etc. It is involving the etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the diseases. Teaching contents include basic theories and scientific knowledge, and technical skills of common diseases of internal medicine. In addition, by combining the medical theories, the knowledge and skills of diagnostics and internal medicine can be strengthened. The students should be cultivated logical thinking, independent judgment, and problem solving abilities. Therefore, the medical graduates should be gradually capable of functioning independently in treating and preventing the common diseases of internal medicine. Accordingly, the levels of diagnosis and treatment can be raised gradually after graduation. Teaching contents of internal medicine (II) mainly cover the scientific knowledge involving the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal, hematological, endocrine, and rheumatic disorders, etc.
