Fuping joined International School, JNU in July 2005 as Teaching Fellow in Chinese. His language teaching has been consistently highly-rated over many years. 

    After graduating in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Jinan University, he completed his PhD in Second Language Acquisition at the National Key Research Center for Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. He participated in a Chinese learning project (by Huang Yueyuan) in Language Center, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2010. As an academic visitor, he got a scholarship to do his research in the Department of Language and Linguistic Science, University of York, UK in 2012. 

    His main research interests include Second Language Acquisition and Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. His aspiration is to develop foreign students’ learning skills and help them to become independent learners of Chinese. 
    Currently Teaching: Oral Chinese (Level 1-4), Medical Chinese (Level 1-4), Chinese reading, Chinese for Beginners (postgraduate program)
