With a sense of excitement, on Oct.17th, we had a wonderful peer sharing program in the balcony of the 3rd floor in the International school building. At 19 o’clock, the monitor of 2011 M.B.B.S, Satya and Vimala came to the balcony to give us a meaningful speech. And all of us learned a lot from their speech.

Firstly, Satya introduced himself and shared his experience. He was ambitious to be an outstanding doctor. And he said that the secret to get a high GPA is to work hard. Only in this way, we can make our dream come true. Then he mentioned that everyone should have faith. That would cheer you up when you meet some difficulties. Satya also stressed that we were ought to concentrate more on our text books, rather than teachers’ PPT. Students must remember basic knowledge and write down the key points. What’s more, we were supposed to try our best to understand it. Just as he said, “If you long for the knowledge, you should listen to the class carefully. Indeed, study is not only for getting good grades, but also for being a useful person for our country.”

Secondly, Vimala, greeted everyone good evening in Chinese, and started sharing her experience. To study well, good memory was not only the necessary aspect but to keep knowledge refreshed one has to refer the textbooks again and again. Though students came from different majors, we should always put an optimistic attitude when meeting problems. Then, she talked about some interesting things in China. She said that she was keen on Chinese food, even though she took time to learn using chopsticks, she eventually learnt with practice. She also said that Chinese culture and shopping here did appeal to her a lot. Moreover, Vimala said that she was glad to play sports with Chinese students, because people involved in sports less at India. So, she suggested for more exercise to lead a better and healthy college life.

Time went by so fast when the attenders played some interesting games together. Two peer sharing motivated students to study harder and their words left a deep impression on all us. Finally, Satya told his motto to us, “Live and let live.” And Vimala’s was, “Follow your passion, success will follow you.” In conclusion, according to this peer sharing, each attender gained invaluable insights from successful students of MBBS.
