The 1st ISSC&ISLC&SU's debate conference

 The 1st International School Students’ Congress and the International School League Committee and Student Union’s Debate Conference   

   Jinan University International School successfully held its first International School Students’ Congress (ISSC) on the night of May 14, 2008. Even though there was an unexpected interruption regarding the confliction of conference room, the members of the International School Students’ Congress worked cooperatively and efficiently to minimize chaotic situations from occurring. It showed the trait of leadership, cooperation and capability of each and every member in the Students’ Congress. Round of applauds and congratulations once again to all the students who assisted in organizing and holding the conference.

   Jinan University Students’ Congress is the highest student authority of the University. ISSC is honored to have guests attending including Professor Fei Luo, Ms. Jixia Chen, Mr. David Ho, Ms. Susan Liu and Ms. Qiyun Sun, standing committee members and student representatives. This conference is exceptionally important to the student government. During the conference, several proposals and supplementary documents were passed with the collective agreements of all the representatives of International School. The act of just, fair and open is the feature and motto that ISSC has always strived for.

   In addition, the International School League Committee and Student Union’s (ISLCSU) debate conference for candidates running for president and league committee was held afterwards. This is a formal and vigorous event. Candidates gave an introductory speech about themselves and their policy. During the question and answer session, many audiences were very eager in asking questions to the candidates. They focused attentively to the policy proposed by each candidate, trying to select the one which will serve them the best in the upcoming year. All the candidates running for the two positions are very talented and experienced in student organizations; therefore, the election held on May 20th will definitely be a competitive event. Come vote on May 20th, the candidates need your support!
