九月的风，带着希望和憧憬，为果园迎来了一群朝气蓬勃的小粉人，更为暨南园抹上了一道艳丽的色彩。9月10日，是个特别的日子，是每一位辛勤付出的教师们的节日，也是新生们汇聚一堂于教学楼201举行开学典礼的日子！

On September 10th, 2018, the freshmen of the International School began their first day in Jinan University. And the orientation ceremony was their first activity in their college life.The ceremony was held at N201 in Panyu campus. The Vice Dean of International School, Wu Xiyang, Mr. Liu Ming, the Party Deputy Secretary of International School, Mr.Deng and other majors teachers attended this ceremony.

首先进行的是庄严肃穆的奏国歌仪式，全场的气氛一下由轻松活跃变的严肃起来。随后，宋京松老师给全体新生送上祝福并介绍到场的领导和嘉宾们。

国际学院副院长吴希阳上台发言，他谈到暨南大学悠远流长的历史和自己对新生们大学四年的寄望，同时，在这个特别的日子里，他给全体教师们送上暖心的祝福。

Firstly, everybody stood up and sang the national anthem. Then the Vice Dean of International School, Wu Xiyang gave us a speak. He talked about the history of JNU and his wishes to us. At the same time, he gave his blessing to all the teachers at this special day——the Teachers’ Day.

接下来是本科新生代表18 IET冼国燊同学发言，他表示很荣幸能成为国际学院的一份子，并且非常期待接下来的校园生活。研究生新生代表2018中国学专业潘映同学，她与新生分享了许多宝贵的学习经历，并且表示自己非常荣幸的能够加入国际学院这个大家庭。来自15 CM何宗霖告诉我们，也许生活不会事事如我们所愿，但我们仍然需要为未来而努力。来自16 IET国际学院团委学生会主席许颖芝，首先向来自世界各地的新生们表示热烈的欢迎，同时鼓励新生们要努力克服困难，越挫越勇，希望大家一年比一年更优秀！

Xian Guoshen from 2018IET, on the behalf of freshmen, presented a speech. He showed his pleasure of standing here and sharing his feeling about being one of the International School's members in JNU. Jhoanna from 2018 China Studies, the graduate freshmen representative, shared her experience of study and life in JNU with freshmen and how to enter into China. He Zonglin from 2015CM, told us that “maybe the life would not live like our wishes, but we still need to try our best for future.” Xu Yingzhi from 2016IET, who was the president of International School League Committee and Student Union, said that it’s time for you freshmen to grow up. Maybe you will face many problems like homesick or language challenge. You have to overcome all of them cause you aren’t still a little child but a college student.

Thomas Moran老师以一种幽默风趣的风格给新生们做了一个“转型时代”的演讲，他希望大一新生能够在大学生活中学会挑战自我，懂得规划和安排时间，在大学期间努力地充实自己，并且要用积极的态度去看待问题。

Thomas Moran on behalf of teachers, gave a speech about “A Time of Transition”. He hoped freshmen could challenge themselves in college life and make use of all the time they have. It’s necessary for all of us to enrich ourselves.

最后，国际学院团委学生会海外事务部给外国学生讲解了VISA的办理流程，解决了他们在校内的一大烦恼。

Then all the guests stood up and sang the school song.At the end of the ceremony, the Overseas Student Affairs Department explained the problems about passports and visas for all the foreigners.

整个典礼过程热烈，庄重，掌声不断。新的起点，开启新的希望，承载新的梦想，国际学院全体师生、领导必将凝心聚力，携手共进，拥抱暨南更加美好的明天！

During this unforgettable day, we wish all the freshmen have colorful college lifes and wish all the teachers everything goes well.
