German Delegation Visits IS and Develops Deeper Ties

A group of 23 students accompanied by 2 professors from the University of Applied Sciences, Ingolstadt (HAW) in Germany arrived at Jinan University (JNU) on May 23 for a visit to the International School(IS). Numerous activities were organized and, as a result of the visit, a deeper relationship between IS and HAW has now been formed. A presentation introducing Jinan University was presided over by Professor Tang, Dean of the International School, and this was followed by a very interesting lecture, “Supply Chain Management in the Food Industry”, presented by Professor Zhang Zhonghao; it was highly appreciated. After lunch, Anny Chen took the visitors on a campus tour, and they also participated in joint classes with IS students on “Microeconomics” conducted by Professor Dirk Hecht, Professor Tyler and lecturer, Li Yuanyuan.
This is the third activity since Professor Hu Jun, President of JNU and Professor Walter Schober, President of HAW signed an agreement between the universities on November 9, 2012. A JNU delegation including Mr. Zhuang Youming, Director of Admission Office, Professor Zhi Tingrong, Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication, and Professor Tang Shuze, Dean of International School, paid a visit to HAW on January 24, 2013.
The first batch of exchange students, which this time will consist of two exchange students from IS-JNU, will arrive at Ingolstadt in the summer of 2013.
