The University of Bridgeport was founded in 1927 as the Junior College of Connecticut – the first junior college chartered by any legislature in the northeastern states. The University maintains its primary commitments and holds fast to its values. Academic programs are offered through twelve schools, colleges, and institutes. Concern for student development and support predominate. The University of Bridgeport offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, and programs for people seeking personal and professional growth. Xie Jing, who majored in Food Science, studies at UB as a Master student. She is also the International Admissions Counselor in the International Admissions Office at the University of Bridgeport, and recommended that Dr. Ward L. Thrasher visit IS. Dr. Ward sang high praise for her. Thanks and regards to our alumni.
On November 11, 2011, Dr. Ward L. Thrasher, Dean of International Academic Initiatives at the Office of Admissions, University of Bridgeport, paid visit to the International School (IS). He was warmly welcomed by Professor Tang Shuze, Dean of IS. The meeting generated a productive dialogue about a possible student exchange program, faculty and staff exchange program, Masters’ program and other mutual cooperation programs. After the meeting, the guests were given a campus tour by Chen Anny.
