The  64th activity of the “Association of Teachers Lecturing in English” (ATLE) will be held on Thursday, Oct 20, 2016, at 3:00 PM in A209 Main Teaching Building.

 The schedule is as follow:
1. Keynote speech by Professor. Peter Swirski 
  Topic: “ Filmmaker, Writer, Superstar, or Liar? The Journalistic Ethics of Michael Moore. ”
2.  Discussion & Tea break.
Host: Dr. Zheng Yue 

Peter Swirski is a Canadian scholar and critic, listed in the Canadian Who’s Who. A Distinguished Professor of American Literature and American Studies, he is Amazon’s and Alibris’ #1 Bestseller in American History and Criticism and Canadian Literary Criticism. He is the author of sixteen award-winning books on American literature and culture, including From Lowbrow to Nobrow (2005), Ars Americana, Ars Politica (2010),American Utopia and Social Engineering (2011), and American Political Fictions (2015). His  futurological study of computer-written fiction From Literature to Biterature (2013) became a bestseller not only in literary studies but also in computer science. He made TV appearances in Hong Kong, Europe, Russia, and the United States, and on the BBC World Service with an audience of 200 million worldwide.
